Rosie's - Inspired to make a difference

About Equity Foundation

We want people to be proud of where they live. So what better way than the Equity Foundation? Launched in January 2013, it's a pioneering scheme to help people make a positive change to their community. Through Equity Foundation, we work in partnership with local businesses to inspire, support and connect people, in turn creating great places to live and work in.

We don't just help Equity customers, but local residents, too. Our grant funding has already had a massive impact on local lives and communities. And while we're starting off with a pilot scheme in Greater Manchester, Trafford and Stockport, we've got big plans for the future, including investing £200,000 over the next two years in widening out the scheme.

What its like to work at Equity Foundation

Rosie Longdon

Foundation Coordinator

Equity is a people business, a real mix between not-for-profit and commercial elements that you don't find very often. We're small enough to have retained a friendly, close-knit working culture but we punch well above our weight and we're not afraid to do things differently.

Challenge 4 Change

An innovative project that helps to tackle anti-social behaviour through team work activities. This project is aimed at the children of our customers to provide early-intervention support around challenging behaviour

Mellor Country House

A charity that provides free or very low cost breaks away from urban areas for lower income families and carers. This is a fantastic project that enables our front line support staff to refer suitable customers who otherwise wouldn't get a holiday or experience life outside their own communities.
